Depadova was born with Fernando and Maddalena De Padova in 1956 when Modern Design was still practically unknown in Italy. Nordic architects such as Alvar Aalto and Arne Jacobsen were inspired and started to sell Nordic furniture in a shop located in Via Montenapoleone in Milan.
In 1957, DePadova began to produce the furniture of Charles Eames in Italy.Around 1970 Madalena meets the designer Vico Magistretti and this gives a new direction and DePadova moves to a new Showroom in Corso Venezia in Milan and invites the young designer Achille Castiglioni to hold the store windows and exhibition.Currently DePadova is a reference brand in Italy and in the World.
